COSMOS 2013

As I sit here in my first period class everything starts to flash before my eyes.
On the first day, I remember getting in the car, and "When I'm Gone" was playing. I became teary eyed knowing that I wont see any of my family or friends for 4 long weeks. Once I was in Davis, I remember being stoked about the DC's huge display of food. I, also, remember being extremely nervous as I stood with my cluster.
Very quickly Cluster 4 connected in ways that no other cluster could; like a family. We made sure that no one in C4 would ever be left behind. We always managed to sit all 21 of us, and sometimes teachers and friends as well, at two connected dinner tables. The girls would join together for fun afternoons full of music, dancing, and candy.
Cluster 4 managed to pull my shyness out of me, and before I knew it I was singing "Space Talks" A.K.A. "Little Talks" for a talent show in front of all of COSMOS.
We learned to sleep in buses and "creeper vans" on every field trip, and, also, during long, exhausting lectures. We, also, became very good at sneakily taking pictures of people passed out, which we managed to have gotten at least one picture of everyone in Cluster 4 asleep.
We watched the stars rise in the sky, and the moon change it's shape throughout the month. We protected each other when we were hurt or sick. We were able to laugh all day, every day. The girls planned dress days, Cluster 4 planned a surprise birthday party, I managed to scare quite a few people, and Cluster 4 had a blast as we performed first at the Talent Show.
Then the count down began. One week, two weeks, three weeks was over. Then we were realizing that each day was the last of that day. Now, we've had our last dinner and breakfast at the DC, and this upcoming lunch will be our official last meal there. This is our last few times walking in to the physics building as Cluster 4. Tonight will be the last night sleeping as a part of C4 and COSMOS. Soon, the tears will come as we say our last few goodbye.
Cluster for became my second family, and I still haven't come to realize that we will all be separating our different ways. Everyone has turned in to my brothers and sisters, and I love them so much. Even though some of us may or may not see each other again, the memories of COSMOS 2013 will never leave us. They are everlasting.  Even though it feels like we will be turning our separate ways, we are really just getting ready to reunite once again. We are family and always will be. Forever & Always.

P.S. Neil Degrasse Tyson! C Fooooooour!
