COSMOS {Late Night Roof Observing}

As a part of my class, I was assigned a night to ride my bike with a couple friends to the physics building after dinner. We met our teacher, Chris, and our cluster friend, Paul, to go up on the roof. It gets pretty chilly up there so we dressed like we were going to San Francisco. {By the way, Janiqua and I chose to do this two times, because we had so much fun the first time. I will be just saying this story as one instead of making two separate posts.} We had to get chairs from the fifth floor, and carry them up to the roof. We, then, helped Paul bring his telescope to the roof where we built it, and then waited until it was completely dark.

While Janiqua and I were waiting for it to be dark, we took tons of pics as the sun was setting.
 Isn't she adorable?! I love her so much!
Here is a picture of the telescope we were using. It was pretty gnarly. Honestly, I was afraid to tough it since it's so expensive.
Here is one of the many photos I took after the sunset. The sky had an orange horizon, and if you look closely you can see Venus.
After the sun went down, we got to start our observing. I got to check out to different stars, Janiqua got to as well, and some of the other people got to look at galaxies, Pluto, and other cool things! After I was done observing for my part, I went down stairs where it was warmer, and called my mom to see how she was doing. Janiqua came with me, because she wanted to prepare the water for our ramen {she's going to be such a great mommy.} It was fun getting to talk with her and Cynthia, and even more fun to drive the guys crazy while we spoke in our secret "girl language."

STORY: So, this one dude was totally hitting on me, but I only saw him as a friend. He was getting way to close and personal, so I actually had to get upset with him so he'd stop. Really awkward... someone even got a really cute picture of us two. Well, it would have been cute if we were actually dating. But yea, that's not going to happen. I made a promise to myself before I left that I wouldn't date any of the guys at COSMOS, because generally long distance relationships don't work, and neither do summer romances.

STORY: After observing, we have to either ride our bikes or walk back home. The first time I got to ride my bike, and it was actually pretty fun going super speedy back to the dorms. The second time, I had a broken bike, so I had to walk back with Anoop and Sergiy. It was funny how they were freaking out about somebody jumping from behind a tree and murdering us. The walk was really long, but it was really fun to just hang out with them at 12:30 in the morning.

First Anniversary and 100th Post!!!!!

You'll never guess what today is! OK. You probably already know since the title is kind of a spoil alert! First of all, it's my first anniversary for LoveLoveLove, Melissa The Blog! I made it one whole year! Woohoo! Second, it's the 100th post for this blog! I am so proud of myself! I have been waiting this whole month just to post this! I am very excited! Aren't you?! My first post was here. I have changed so much, and learned so much more! Today is an important milestone in my life! Thank you for following my blog, and sharing the love. I love you all with all my heart! To show you i love you guys sooooo much, i have a bunch of pictures for you guys! XOXOXO!

We went to a candy store and i was in heaven! I was like OMG! Im going to die!
Liam and I were playing piggy back ride, so we took a picture!
I think I'm going to marry the moon.
Liam celebrated his 11th birthday with a bunch of friends. His birthday is not officially here yet but he wanted to have an early one. He went to the water park with a couple of friends. Sadly, I wasnt there to take the pictures, but right when he got back, I acted like the paparazzi. Those boys probably were like, "Whats wrong with her?", behind my back. The cake was amazing, as always. His birthday theme was Avengers. I played with the boys, and made up games to keep them running around.  Eventually the night took over, and they fell asleep. In a tent. Its so cute. I love that he chose Antioch Water Park, because that's where I went for my 11th birthday!! I'm glad that he is happy, and that he considers this to be the best birthday party ever!
I have been lately doing a lot of homework. I was up 'tll 10 last night, doing homework. Sophomore year has really made my life much more difficult. Sadly, It is only going to get harder.
These little guys appear all over my house, just about every single day. Some sleep outside, and some sleep in the bathroom. There everywhere!
I finally convinced Liam to start reading Harry Potter. We'll see if he sticks with it. I have tried to get him to for a while, but he keeps brushing it off. I'm crossing my fingers.
I recently made yummy salsa.....
with swim goggles on. Ya, I know I'm weird.
Mia is still cute as always! Oh my little baby!! <3
I did a recent photo shoot with my bud, Hailey. We had a good time messing around.
Two weekends ago, I got into an artsy mood, and created this.
And this.
There was a time, a couple weeks ago, when I felt on top of the world.
Last week, I captured the beauty of a pink sunset. I was in awe.
Last weekend, I hung out with Hailey and Angie. We baked a cake. I loved that cake. It is one of my old favorites. White cake. Yummy!
I have to name this picture, precision. They are working so hard to get the vegetable oil measurement perfect.
Silly faces... in the bathroom.
My new favorite song, that keeps repeating in my head. You probably would think I'm sick of it, but nope.
Last but not least, I went to a beautiful book store. All the books were antiques. I loved them so much, I made a plan. I will either live in this book store or get married in this book store. I think that tells you how much I love this book store. I wish I could have stayed there forever. Then I could read all of the books. Then I would be really smart. :)

Well, thats a wrap. I will have to find a way to celebrate my little anniversary. I love you guys, and always will!

Moon Photos

Lately, you may or may not have noticed, I have been taking quite a few photos of the moon. I love taking pictures of the moon! I love that my camera is capable of taking such amazing and unbelievably precise pictures. It makes me so happy. Tonight, I will be taking a picture of the full moon. I am really froward to it. I will be starting a project, andI think I will call it the moon project. I will let you know more about that later. I hope you all are having a splendid summer!

Picture of the Day {Moon}

As you may or may not know, I love taking pictures of the moon. It just makes me feel so connected with everything beyond our planet, Earth. The moon is gorgeous and I love being able to examine all the craters and markings. Every once in a while, I will go outside and just stare at the moon. I always think to myself, "Someday."
