Finally!

This past week has felt like forever! Finals are such a downer! They are so exhausting, too! After going to bed at 12ish each night and wake up at 4 in the morning, I want to die. I honestly don't know how I'm functioning right now. I mean I practically had a mental breakdown the other night, but gladly pulled myself together and continued to study. Oh boy, I am definitely going to bed at 9 tonight! After so much stress, I can finally relax! Well, kind of. I mean, I don't have any homework (which is heaven on earth.) Really all I'm doing is working, painting my bedroom doors, catching up with my photography, doing other little things, and getting to hang out with a few friends. And I get to do all of that over a three day weekend! Yes!! Anyway, since I've been busy a lot lately, I thought I would post a Melissa Update soon! I'm kind of excited about that!! Like always. :) And I might start a new posting thing, but that is unconfirmed for now. Ok, well I'm glad that I got to write this mini post! Now, I'm going to prepare for other posts to come and I'm putting on my jammies!!! Estoy muy cansado! {I am very tired!} Love you guys!

The Never Ending Studying

So, before I go into a rant about how much i hate studying, I thought I should inform you all that finals at my high school start next week. There are good and bad parts about finals. The good thing is that there isn't homework, we get 3 day weekends before and after the finals, and we get out of class earlier. The bad thing is that if you screw up you're practically dead (since it counts as 20% of your final semester grade), you get no sleep (like Thursday night when I only got 3 hours of sleep), and you have to study until your brain is no longer capable of holding any more information. Thankfully, after finals we have a 3 day weekend to recover from lack of sleep, and we get to relax. I will be glad once this is all over though. I already have plans to go to lunch with a friend of mine, and he is making cinnamon rolls for me! I'm excited! And some friends will get to hang out too! That little thing is a reminder to keep going, study hard, and not give up, because after it all you get to relax and be with people who enjoying being with you.
Anyway, sometimes I like to write lists of things I need to do on this blog, so I'm going to do it again. I have no clue if I will follow it precisely, but it is good to write this list to get an idea of what i need to do.
1. APES {2-3 days}
     -reread the first 2 chapters
     -take practice AP test online

2. Algebra 2/ Trig {6 hours}
     -do all the assigned practice review work
     -memorize formulas
     -study notes

3. Spanish 2 {2 hours}
     -vocab/verb practice
     -review notes, study page, and test corrections

4. English {0 hours}
     -nothing

5. Orchestra {2 hours}
     -practice new pieces
     -scales
     -sight reading

6. History {1-2 days}
     -memorize vocab
     -review study packet

So yep! That's my miniature list of things to do for each class. Thankfully English and Spanish aren't too bad and they both are on the same day. It will be a nice break. Anyway, I better go start!! Have a fun finals week for all of you doing finals this week!!

P.S. I will most likely write my next chapter for my story after finals. There is too much going on, and so little time. Unfortunately it takes me a day or two to complete a chapter. Sorry. :/

"Cry" ~Alexx Calise

Hi guys! While I have been writing my little story, I have been thinking about songs that I could use if I ever made it into a movie. Haha. It's quite funny how I think of that. So here is the first song:
I heard this song on Dance Moms, and for some reason it made me very emotional. I really like it, and I think it fits well with the story I'm writing, and sometimes even my own life. It is mainly about how one hides their true emotions by smiling, but truly all she/he really feels is the desire to cry. I hope you like it!

Thanksgiving and Christmas

I was just looking at this blog when I realized I havent posted the pictures from Thanksgiving! Whoops! School has been crazy for me, and I totally forgot! Ahh!! Ok, so I will post both Thanksgiving and Christmas photos then!

Thanksgiving:

 Our plates piled high with our delicious thanksgiving feast!
 Relaxing, eating food, and enjoying the views.
 Our dinner setting!
 Go-kart rides around the property with Opa!
 Buddy eating his "Thanksgiving Feast" consisting of dog kibble.
Also, I got to help bake this year!! This is a picture of the food in process!

Christmas:

 Liam and I woke up to this wonderful view!
 Our annual next to the Christmas tree photo.
 I was pretty stoked about getting these movies.
 Liam had been dieing for this movie. My parents decided to prank him a little by wrapping it in the big box next to him. Haha!
 My lovely parents <3
Christmas party conversations.

We went to a Christmas party, and got to spend time with family and friends. We had a blast telling stories, eating food, laughing, and so much more. It was really a great time, and it was probably the best party of them all (we do this every year.)
On Christmas morning, before the party and other festivities, we got to be with both pair of grandparents. It was really nice to have them both visit. Well, they kind of visited. My grandparents came down from their mountain home, and our grandparents from Colombia visited by skyping all morning. It was really nice.
On Christmas Eve, we celebrated by doing our annual Christmas eve tradition! We went looking at Christmas lights, went out to dinner (it's always Chinese food...yumm!!!), opened the first gift of Christmas, and read a scripture from the bible. It was really fun, and quite relaxing.
This year's Christmas was really great! By the way, happy new year!! 2013!!!! Woohoo!
