Throwback to October

I've been really distracted these past few months with some personal things, and I have not been keeping up with my silly little posts. So, I am really sorry about that, and to make up for it I am making a couple really big posts. Let's rewind all the way back to October.
We did a fundraiser for my high school's music program. We sold tickets and played our instruments in front of Lunardi's. Afterwards, Lauren and I went out to lunch with a couple of friends!

For the past couple of months I have really become a really big fan of Demi Lovato. She has become a really big inspiration to me, and because of her I have grown the strength to do things I never would of had the strength to before.
I decorated an old shoe box, and made it look like this. I am using it for all the notes and letters I've been writing, and I'll probably never send.
We had our first concert of the year, which we call Showcase. It is the biggest fundraiser of the year. We had an audience of over 400 heads. It was the largest one yet, and we raised the most amount of money in the history of Showcase. Here a couple photos from the event.
 Rae, my Bae.
Can't you tell that I love her?
One of our private rooms for the musicians to relax, do homework, and play games while waiting to perform.
 Monbon<3
 Spirit Week! Sports day!
 In orchestra...
 Rachel and Monbon<3
 Pow Pow being creepy.
 Rae!!!
 Paola and Kara accidentally twinning...
 Disney Day with my KP!
 With Kara at the Rally!

They were very much enthusiastic about the rally, can't you tell?!
Demi Lovato keeping me going through tough times.
My way of dealing with stressful days of midterms... I stock up on food, and then lock myself in my room for hours.
Halloween!!! I dressed up really last minute by putting on some really ugly tights and a hat, and called myself a witch. Besides me, there was a minion, a cell, Katniss Everdeen, and 2 Ghostbusters.
The Ghostbusters were my favorite. They had music playing from one of there back packs, and ran around the school chasing after ghosts.
Paola and I thought this was hilarious. Mr. Jimenez, my music conductor, put this on his door.
 Pow Pow was really bored.....
Pow Pow stole my camera, and this was her favorite picture of her pretending to step on me.
 Pow Pow trying to skateboard.
My real Halloween costume wasn't as bad. My mom made me go trick or treating with my little brother and his friend. It ended up not being to bad.

That was pretty much my month of October! Wow, I can't believe how far behind I've gotten. Sorry guys.

Mini Update

Hey everyone! I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be trying to post more of these COSMOS posts. I am having a blast reliving all of the memories. They are really fun to write about, but the only problem is that these posts tend to be more time-consuming than others. So, I just wanted to let you guys know that the posts will take a while. I'm hoping to be able to have them all posted by Christmas time. I know that is a long time away, but lets just say that school has not been very nice with me by giving me loads of homework already. Yea, maybe not as much as last year towards the end of the year, but I can only imagine what the ending of Junior year holds. So anyway, please hang with me as I try to post the COSMOS posts.

Also, I wanted to share with you guys how excited I am! I finally started my driving lessons! So far I am only doing online course stuff, but still I am very excited about finally doing something teenager-like. I felt like I needed to start working on this now since I've already been 16 for almost 3 months. I could have started this when I was 15 and a half, but then I had a lot of weight on my shoulders, and I honestly am glad I didn't start then because I don't think I could of handled it.

Anyway, enough about driving. I've been doing pretty good at school lately! It's been almost 2 weeks, and so far everything has been going not to bad. I've gotten homework, but not enough to stress me out. Thumbs up about that. Still, I'm trying to stay on track, and make sure I get A's again this year.

Oh, yea! So, as of two thursdays ago we have been doing chair auditions for orchestra. I swear, that is so freaking... ahhhhh!!! for me this year. In the past, I didn't worry so much, because I just wasn't as in to playing the violin as I was even just half a year ago. I finally got to audition this last thursday after an extremely long wait! I was so nervous! My main goal was to be able to show him I'm worth it, and that I can prove him I have really improved substantially. I've recognized that I've improved, and my family and friends have too, but really the only one I wanted to get an opinion on how I've improved is Mr. Jimenez, my conductor. His opinion matters so much to me, and I am always trying to prove, and show him how hard I'm working. After the audition, he gave me such great feedback! He said he was extremely impressed at my improvement over the last half of this year. It really brought me. I have some serious goals I want to reach still, but I have conquered so many lately, and I cant help but thank God every night for giving me the ability to achieve them.

I hope to post again tonight or tomorrow! If I don't, I hope to post again very soon!

Great Night

Last night was absolutely amazing! Though, before I tell you why, I will start from the beginning. I woke up not feeling so well, since I have been recovering from a minor cold. I had some of my favorite cereal, and went on pinterest and instagram for a while. Then, I went and talked with Diane for a few hours. It was a pretty normal morning. This is practically my everyday morning routine. Anyways, my day went on, and I enjoyed it. My brother, Liam, and I watched tv shows, wrestled for a while, and got to eat treats from our neighbors. When my mom came home from doing a wedding (she is a hairstylist,) I hopped in the shower. Then, after, she did my hair and made it straight and pretty. I really didnt want to have my normal hair for the big event, so I was really lucky that she was willing to do it, even though she was exhausted. Then, I put on my black dress, and put on some red lipstick. I was set! I called Paola and she picked me up and we were off. Off where? Well, off to our christmas concert! We got there at our call time, which was about an hour before the performance, and got to hang out with friends, and practice. My friends, Brian, "surprised" me by coming to watch. I ran up to him and gave him a huge hug. I missed him so much, I hadn't seen him since he came over to my house a few weeks back. We got to hang out forever, and having a bunch of fun. Diane then came up to me and gave me a mountain dew, like she said she would this morning. I thought we was kidding, but hey I'm not arguing over an awesome mountain dew! Also, I ended up talking with a bunch of random people from orchestra, and it was really fun to get to know them. It was really random when two freshman came up to me, and were like, "Omg! You are so freaking gorgeous! Do you wear cover up? Do you where blush? I'm so jealous!" I was shocked. They were so sweet, and I couldn't help but keep saying thank you over and over again. It is kind of weird, because this keeps happening. Random people will walk up to me and say how pretty I am. It's kind of awkward, because I never really think to much about my appearance. I mean, if you know me, you know that half of my closet is full of boys clothes. But thanks guys!
Anyways, the concert began, and we all went into the church to watch the excellent chamber orchestra. (They are the top students in our class.) Then, our turn was up. I passed Brian and Gillian, and gave them a nervous and excited smile. I got up onto the stage, and of course there wasnt a chair for me, so I had to get Mr. Jimenez's attention. We eventually got a chair, and then we were able to begin. I was so nervous! I was so afraid that something bad was going to happen. We played our first piece, and we nailed it! It sounded brilliant, and I was so excited then! I was literally acting like such a goon, because I was so happy we played it well. The rest of the concert was like that, and each of our pieces sounded great. In the last piece, the choir joined us, and I was really excited. We had a great concert so far, and I was hoping that this song was going to be a show stopper. The song started out for e to be a little shaky, because I was nervous about playing with the choir. Then I started to realize that I was hitting all the notes, and I was doing better than any of my other time! I was so happy, I was smiling the whole rest of the concert. The song finished and I was absolutely ecstatic. We bowed to a substantial applause, and left the stage. I got to say my last goodbyes, and a lady told me i did great. I think that she was Gillian's mom, but I'm not completely positive. Then, I went home after saying goodbye to Brian, Diane, Ray, and Cameron. It was a great night, and I am so happy that it went so well! Well, talk to you guys later! xoxoxo!

Hi everyone! Sorry, I havent posted in a while! I have been so busy with school and other things So, I just thought that since I havent posted in a while, that you guys deserved a Melissa Update! By the way, I have missed you guys! Ok here we go!!!!
My new favorite book that I have been reading for hours at a time.
Lately, I have been looking through tons of scrapbooks, and my favorite one is the one about when I went to Colombia! I love all the pictures. I miss Colombia so much, and I love all the memories. I cant wait to go back one day. I keep thinking about it, and hopefully it will be soon!
Spanish Homework!!! My favorite homework, besides orchestra!!!
I wrote "Stay Strong" on my hand as motivation for me through my hard days.
I have been practicing violin so much! Yesterday, I played for probably 6 hours in total! I am so proud!
Yummy! Ice cream! I found this picture today, and it makes me want some.

The sweetest text message, from the sweetest girl. She has helped me get through so much this year! Thank you Gillian!
Grubbin' today! I dont have to go anywhere, so I might as well have a jammies day!!!
Mia, A.K.A. Vomitron, and Molly were locked in the laundry room all of yesterday. We woke to awesome barf everywhere. My mom says it must have been projectile, because it was on the walls. Blech! I love having to wake up early, and then waking up to that. Its just awesome!
Liam got a new fringe, so he is going on to his next level, in kung fu! I am such a proud sister! ( Liam is front row, third from the left.)
Yesterday, I was chilling on my patio in the backyard. It was really relaxing, but I didn't stay long. It was way to cold!
My minion pumpkin! I had this idea for a while and I am so glad I did it. I even inspired my friend, Brian, to do the same thing! We have twin minion pumpkins!
My mom taking a really blurry picture of me, at the carving pumpkin party!
Lately, my diary has been really important in my life. I put everything that is on my mind in there. Everything that goes in my life, is in this little journal. Do you like the first page? Hahahaha.

Well, I hope you guys liked my Melissa Update! It was kind of simple, but I love doing these! Anyways, I will hopefully post again soon!
