Chapter 3 {Strong for Too Long}

Hey everyone! I've been missing you guys! I just wanted to let you know that I wrote my third chapter for my story that has not yet been named. I wrote it last night while texting a really close friend of mine. He and I thought it would be cool if I started a sort of "subscription" to my story. I'm no longer going to be posting my stories up on here for some personal reasons. Anyway, as you may have noticed, the other two chapters have been taken down. I know that some of you guys really are enjoying keeping up with my story, and so I thought it would be great to send out the chapters every time a new one has been published by email. I already have two "subscribers," and if anyone else that is reading this blog would like to continue to read my story I've been writing, please leave your email in the comment section. OMG! Big News!!!

I got home yesterday very tired. {I didn't get much sleep, because I was studying.} I went to my parents bedroom and watched a few episodes of my favorite TV shows. Then, my brother got the idea to watch to watch The Perks of Being a Wallflower. It was pretty good. It was a little sad, but I also thought it was a pretty fun movie, despite the moments when I had to force Liam to cover his eyes. Afterwards, I made Liam his own dinner, pizza, and I had a strong feeling I wasn't going to eat again. I cant eat pizza anymore, along with a lot of other foods. Even though i couldn't eat it, Liam was dancing around the house all excited. He probably could marry pizza.
My mom got home from work very happy, and all giddy. She called me over into the kitchen to show me something on the iPad.  It was the email I had been waiting for for months. I read it quietly, and by the time I had finished I was crying and grinning at the same time. I had been accepted to a UC Davis Astrophysics Program during the summer! I started crying even harder once I reread the second to last paragraph. I got a full scholarship!! I was shaking and crying so much. I just couldn't believe, and still cant, that I, Melissa Torres, made it into the program of my dreams. I feel so blessed. I feel like this a dream. You guys, I'm going! I don't even know how to express how I feel besides saying "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! OH EM GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!"
So many other good things have been happening in the last 2 days, but this definitely tops all of them! I have been praying for betters day comparison to the ones a few weeks back. Yesterday, I prayed before school, and asked to please help me. I was feeling stressed, tired, and worried, but I put everything into His hands. I let Him lead the way, and now look at the amazing things He had done for me. I'm so blessed.

This video above is the song that has been helping me get through all of my rough days. I cant even tell you how much I can relate to this song. I have been singing this song at 1 or 2 in the morning crying for God's help. He listens so much.

End of Spring Break

Today is the last day of spring break! I'm so sad that it came and left so quickly. School is starting once again. This has been most of my week:

So, I have been reading a lot lately, and have been staying up really late doing so. I put on some awesome music, and then get side tracked with my reading.

 Liam and I went to Safeway, bought candy, and then watched 13 Going On 30. It was a blast, and very relaxing.

 My Mom and I have been hiking a lot and I have,also, been doing my own separate workout, too.

I spent yesterday in Monterey and I had so much fun! We got to go to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, the beach, and Cannery Row. I had a blast and it was a great way to cap the week.

 We went to a candy store, and it was HUGE! It was the largest candy store I had ever been in! Heaven!!

 We went a Ghirardelli store, and got yummy ice creams. I got coffee with chocolate syrup {my new favorite!}

We went to an italian restaurant on one of the piers for lunch/dinner. It was fabulous!

We then hit the beach and I got some cool pictures!

 Liam and I started touching sea urchins, and they loved to suck our fingers.

 I finally got into the car, but I first wanted to take a picture of all the sand that was about to go in it. :)

 Happy day!

This had been my week. And it was really nice to have this short break from school. My favorite part of this week was definitely Monterey, and the hiking is close behind it. Now, school is starting again, and I have a new, fresh mind to start me off in the fourth quarter. I probably wont be posting as much until summer, but I promise to come back! Love you guys, always!

Update

Sorry for my previous post. It was a little much. I was having a bad moment in my life. Everything seemed to be falling apart in my mind. I'm now fine, and I am having a great spring break. I've been sleeping in until 7:30 each morning {which feels awesome comparison to 4:00 during school,} reading a really good book all night, going to the movies with my family, working on photography stuff, and really just having a very low key spring break. It's been quite a good vacation so far. It's really nice not having to stress about tests on the upcoming day. This vacation is really helping me to rejuvenate from the previous weeks. I plan today to start writing my story again, and start my spanish homework. I will probably convince my little brother to walk to the grocery store today, too. Just these little things make me happy. I love it. Life is awesome. It's really nice when I actually get to appreciate life, and not be stressing about school. Well, talk to you later!
