So yesterday I woke up at 7 and got ready to go to UC Berkeley. My mom had to work yesterday, so my dad got to take me. I think he was excited. So, we were just about to leave out the front door, when my dad picked up his book bag and swung it over his shoulders. He all of a sudden fell to the ground and was on the verge of crying. His back and gone out and I knew that he was in a lot of pain and we weren't going to UC Berkeley today. Two minutes later he got off the ground and tried to drive to Bart. We were half way there when he asked me if it would be ok if we could skip this time around. He was in major pain. I could see it in his eyes. So, I told him we could go back. I was trying to hold back tears. I was bummed, but I didnt want to make my dad feel bad. The rest of the day I tried my best to help him in every way possible.
Then, that night my mom and I made spaghetti and I started reading The Hunger Games.
